Last Thursday, we had the honor of attending a community event to inaugurate Asian Heritage Month. We extend our appreciation to all who engaged with us, and we look forward to more events that celebrate the unique culture and traditions of Calgary's Asian communities. Throughout the month, we will participate in various cultural events and activities that highlight the rich heritage of our Asian communities. We are dedicated to fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of the diverse cultural practices, customs, and traditions that enhance our city. Our participation in these events reflects our commitment to building strong relationships with the communities we serve and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within our organization. We acknowledge the significant role that Asian communities have played in shaping Calgary's history, economy, and social fabric. From the early settlers who contributed to the Canadian Pacific Railway to the contemporary entrepreneurs, artists, and professionals who continue to enrich our city, we recognize the profound impact of Asian Canadians on our community. By celebrating Asian Heritage Month, we reaffirm our commitment to fostering cross-cultural understanding, addressing systemic barriers, and providing culturally responsive services to our diverse communities. We anticipate ongoing engagement with Calgary's Asian communities and collaboration to create a safer, more inclusive, and harmonious city for all.
