Police Eliminate Four Kidnappers, Seize 18 Rifles and 192 Rounds of Ammunition in Delta and Kano


Nigerian police forces have successfully eliminated four kidnappers and confiscated a significant arsenal of weapons during operations in Delta and Kano States.

In Delta, law enforcement officials targeted a forest along the Asaba/Agbor expressway after detaining Abubakar Usman, also known as Shehu, the leader of a notorious kidnapping group. Following his confession, police conducted a raid on the gang's hideout, resulting in a shootout that led to the deaths of four gang members and the recovery of three AK-47 rifles along with 90 rounds of ammunition.

In Kano, authorities apprehended three individuals—Abdul Sadiq, Ahmad Muazu, and Aliyu Sharif—at Dorayi Babba. This operation resulted in the seizure of 15 homemade revolvers, 102 live cartridges, and six spent shells.

Investigations are currently underway to identify the location of the arms manufacturing site and to capture additional accomplices
