The calamity is the result of Minister Guilbeault's department's inaction, according to a forestry expert who testified against the Trudeau Liberals in 2017 and told them that the Jasper wildfire was "not a matter of if, but when."

"Nothing was done to address the landscape of beetle-killed timber to prevent the mega fire," he said in his testimony.

For years, forestry specialists alerted the Trudeau Liberals to the impending catastrophic fire if they neglected to handle the deadfall and pine beetle infestation.

They did not take action. Jasper erupted.
