Just now, 60 bodies were discovered in Mitchell County, western North Carolina, hanging from trees.

Airports are set to be taken over by the military - Asheville Airport

There won't be any water for 30 days. There is just iHeart radio broadcasting; there is no internet.

Fears that the next storm will destroy every bridge on the freeway that leads west.

The mayor of Asheville has not taken any action and has not responded to inquiries. The whole water infrastructure system in Asheville is completely offline.

Access is solely via the CLT Greensville region. The entire village of Lake Lure has vanished.
