The Year 13 students of Immaculate Conception Secondary School from Solevu, Bua, recently had the opportunity to visit State House in Suva as part of their educational field trip. The visit aimed to enhance their understanding of the historical significance of State House and the role of the President as Head of State and Commander-in-Chief. The students were received by President Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu and Madam First Lady Emily Lalabalavu, who shared insights into the functions of the President and the importance of leadership and public service. The interactive session allowed the students to ask questions about the President's role in relation to other governmental bodies such as Parliament and the Judiciary, highlighting the principle of separation of powers. President Lalabalavu also offered advice for personal success, emphasizing the importance of hard work, continuous learning, and faith in God.
