Though I am currently abroad on official business, my thoughts are with the people of Quebec and indeed all Canadians who are celebrating this special day.

I am proud to lead a country with such a rich cultural heritage, and I look forward to returning home soon to join in the festivities. Until then, I hope you all have a wonderful time with family and friends, enjoying the music, food, and traditions that make this celebration so unique.
